Technical Specialists, Ghana Youth Activity At Global Communities

Global Communities is seeking technical specialists for the anticipated USAID Ghana Youth Activity. This five-year $12M million program will support rural and urban youth in northern Ghana with a range of sustainable opportunities, tools, and support systems that enable them to improve their livelihoods, increase their abilities to contribute as both economically and socially productive individuals, promote peace, and become engaged community members. The activity will give special attention to the needs of girls, the disabled, and other disadvantaged groups.

Global Communities seeks candidates with specialties in the following areas:

  • Private Sector Engagement Specialist: experienced in developing partnerships with private sector firms and associations to expand economic opportunities for youth.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist: experienced in leading efforts in M&E capacity building, training, and ongoing support for all partners to strengthen the collection, analysis, visualization, management, and use of quality data.
  • Capacity Building Specialist: experienced in identifying and implementing capacity strengthening initiatives to support the responsiveness and effectiveness of civil society organizations, local governments, and/or service providers.
  • Gender, Equality, and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialists: experienced in designing interventions that promote inclusion and participation of marginalized groups.
  • Grant Management Specialists: experienced in managing and administering grants and grantees, especially those experienced in the management of USAID-supported grants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in respective field of technical specialization.
  • Experience working with youth, local organizations, private sector, and/or local government is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded programs.
  • Languages: Full Professional Proficiency in spoken and written English; capabilities in relevant local languages preferred.
  • Ghanaian Nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
