Program Monitoring and Economic Justification Technician

OBJECTIVE: Ensure that the economic-financial management throughout the entire cycle of the interventions under its responsibility is carried out according to the requirements, procedures and tools of the donors and Save the Children.

RANGE

  • Report: Responsible for Monitoring and Economic Justification of Programs
  • Direct team under your responsibility: Without a team under your responsibility.
  • Level of safeguarding: Level 1. Requires acceptance and signing of the Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies (triennial).

FUNCTIONS

  1. Ensure management control of Save the Children’s interventions in the field.
  2. Ensure and monitor the income and expenses attributed to the projects, ensuring the reconciliation of the financial and accounting data of the interventions.
  3. Ensure that the requirements are understood and applied by the project team, providing support and monitoring to said team remotely and in person.
  4. Coordinate audit processes and ensure the return and dissemination of results and recommendations.
  5. Prepare financial reports for projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
  6. Prepare and monitor project budgets, according to regulations, procedures and use of management tools.
  7. Analyze and respond in a timely manner to donor requirements regarding justification.
  8. Any other function, typical of their professional category, that is entrusted to them by their immediate manager.

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Degree in Finance and Economics. Valuable training in Monitoring and Economic Justification of Social Programs.
  • Use of tools at a professional level: Office automation. Excel management and financial management software: Agresso or others.
  • Mastery of the following languages ​​is essential: Spanish and English; and French in French-speaking countries (Mauritania, WCA and others).

REQUESTED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of at least 2 years in justifying projects and grants in Cooperation and Humanitarian Action.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting control. Valuable experience in ERP: Agresso
  • Knowledge of International Cooperation regulations: especially AECID, ECHO, INTPA and Decentralized Cooperation.
