Training and skills reinforcement advisor at International Bureau for Children’s Rights

TRAINING
 Act as a training agent for the staff of the head office in Montreal and in the satellite offices of the organization in Africa and Latin America, in terms of andragogical techniques, learning, institutional approaches of the IBCR and skills building
 Evaluate existing pedagogical and andragogical methods, means and techniques and develop new ones according to the knowledge and skills to be transmitted
 Produce and update guides and repositories useful for the development of workshops and training materials
 Facilitate or co-facilitate training workshops, including training of trainers in the field as part of the organization’s programmatic activities
 Communicate training findings in order to identify opportunities for improvement and transformation
 Stay abreast of emerging trends in adult learning and skills development as well as new technologies available for training management

SKILLS REINFORCEMENT
 Support the teams at headquarters and satellite offices in the development of tools useful for training and strengthening the skills of partners targeted by the organization’s projects
 Develop tools and strategies to support the continuing education of cooperating people as part of the IBCR volunteer cooperation program
 Participate and contribute to activities related to monitoring-evaluation-learning-accountability of IBCR projects
 Participate and contribute to the development of project proposals, in line with their expertise

Other
 At the request of the line manager, perform any other task related to their skills and the proper functioning of the Office

Requirements
• Undergraduate university studies in pedagogy, educational science, didactics, communication, social sciences, social work, law, international development / international relations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in an advisory role related to the design and / or facilitation of training for different learner profiles
• Fluency in spoken and written French is imperative.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite

• Advanced knowledge of Spanish and English highly desirable
• Familiarity with innovative methodologies in the field
