Treasury Accountant (Makati City) At International Committee of the Red Cross

MAIN TASKS:

The Treasury Accountant works with a team under the Finance Shared Services, that primarily:

  • Performs timely accounting of various insurance transactions (e.g. insurance claims, private vehicles of mobile staff, insurance premiums, etc.).
  • Assigns appropriate account for insurance invoices registered in PINS and ensuring payments are processed promptly.
  • Analyze the insurance accounts by extracting data from Peoplesoft and updating the corresponding insurance schedules.
  • Prepares the annual declaration of insurance values report
  • Performs the annual closing which involves preparation of year-end reports and adjustments of insurance-related accounts.
  • Performs reconciliation and distribution of insurance costs for year-end.
  • Management and knowledge of insurance database, coordinate with IT if necessary (which includes to make sure that appropriate people have the adequate access rights)
  • Coordinates with AXA representative the oversight of property insurance claims
  • Support the Head of Treasury and Insurance Unit for all property insurance matters

REQUIRED PROFILE :

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Working experience in general accounting and/or insurance accounting
  • Knowledge of Web-based Software Accounting applications (PeopleSoft an advantage)
  • Technically proficient in using Microsoft Office software – e.g. Excel, Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Capacity to interact or communicate with various units
  • Trustworthy, confident, strong analytical skills, ability to self-manage and exhibits team spirit
  • Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus (French, others)
  • Can work under pressure & minimal supervision
