Trips Officer At Living Water International

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for logistics, English Spanish / Spanish-English interpretation, and attention to groups of foreign volunteers in the communities where Living Water International operates, ensuring safety, well-being and compliance with the Standards of Excellence for Short-Term Missions, the Living Water Trips Philosophy, as well as the objectives of the LW Trip Model applicable in each case.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

  • Professional degree in business administration, Tourism, or related area in customer service.
  • Diploma or certification in travel logistics, preferable
  • At least 2 years of experience in positions of attention to volunteers and / or foreign visitors
  • Minimum experience of 2 years in NGOs, mission groups, medical brigades, or volunteering
  • Familiarity with the ecclesial and multicultural environment
  • Bilingual (English – Spanish) (B2, C1 or C2)
  • Experience as an interpreter is a Plus.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid is a Plus

BUSINESS COMPETENCIES AND GENERAL SKILLS

  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Valid driver’s license, indispensable (standard vehicle ability)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft management (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills in both Spanish and English with all parties involved, such as volunteers, local organizations, local leaders, church leaders and others.
  • Availability to travel within the country (90% of the time)
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship
  • Helpful and able to resolve conflicts.
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Work effectively in multicultural environments, including individuals in vulnerable situations.
  • Experience in travel management and management of groups of foreigners.
  • Artistic/musical skills, a Plus
