Job Description
Job Title: Turkey Program Coordinator
Location: Turkey / Gaziantep (Based in Gaziantep with the possibility to travel to the project’s location)
Department: Turkey Program
Reports to: Turkey Program Manager
Purpose of the Position:
To coordinate, implement, and develop activities and projects related to Bonyan organization’s Turkey Program, which focuses on protecting and representing refugees and their issues, informing them about their rights and duties, and integrating them into the host community, in addition to development projects and professional, economic empowerment, and livelihood projects for all groups including the most vulnerable such as children, women, and people with disabilities. The Turkey Program gives special importance to sports as one of the tools we can use to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and Implementing Strategies:
- Collaborate and coordinate with the program director to develop comprehensive strategies to achieve the goals of the Turkey Program in alignment with Bonyan’s vision and mission.
- Implement programs and ensure the achievement of specified goals.
2. Coordinating Activities and Programs:
- Supervise the daily activities of the Turkey Program and ensure their efficient and effective execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure their implementation according to the specified timelines and required quality.
- Ensure timely and quality reporting to supporters.
- Ensure the preparation of project proposals and responses to calls that align with the program in the appropriate quality and time.
3. Managing Teams:
- Provide coordination between departments, and administrative and logistical support to the program team.
- Organize necessary meetings, workshops, and training for the teams.
4. Communication and Partnerships:
- Maintain continuous communication with local and international partners to ensure effective cooperation.
- Build strong relationships with UN agencies, NGOs, government institutions, and relevant international embassies.
- Represent the organization in relevant meetings, networks, and gatherings.
- Assist in expanding partnerships and grants for the program and its projects.
- Attend all meetings of the Turkey Program Clusters.
5. Financial Resource Management:
- Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and submit them to the program director.
- Preparing the purchasing plan in coordination with the supporting departments.

6. Evaluation and Reporting:
- Collect data and information necessary for building projects, and for evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the programs.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
7. Awareness and Promotion:
- Support the development of effective communication strategies to raise awareness about the organization’s programs and activities.
- Work with the communication team to prepare promotional materials and attract community support.
8. Emergency Response:
- Assist in rapid response efforts for emergencies to ensure timely provision of necessary support.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Turkish citizenship and Turkish as a native language.
- Excellent communication skills in Turkish (native) and English (knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage).
- A university degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the administrative fields of the relief and development sector, with field experience working with refugees or vulnerable groups.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead multicultural teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and project management tools.
