The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team
The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST) is co-led by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and Public Health England (PHE), with a triple remit of response, research and capacity development for outbreaks in low and middle income countries (LMICs).
The UK-PHRST is looking for a Project Administrator to provide high level administrative support and contribute to the effective management of the programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their skills and experience in a wide-ranging administrative role. In addition to providing administrative support in the areas of finance, travel and procurement the post holder will be responsible for the coordination of programme-wide meetings.
The ideal applicant will have administrative experience in an academic, or similar, environment and will be able to manage a busy workload. Excellent communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full time and fixed-term until 31st March 2022. The post is funded by UK Government Overseas Development Aid with an immediate start date.
The salary will be on the Professional salary scale Grade 4 in the range £30,302 – £34,468 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
