Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) – Basic Assistance / Humanitarian Aid Technical Leader At World Vision

Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Basic Assistance / Humanitarian Aid Technical Lead for the Ukraine Crisis Response, you will provide assistance to the Ukraine emergency response team. You will be responsible for

  • Understanding the ever-changing situation;
  • Supporting in articulating the vision for Basic Assistance / HA programming development;
  • Being the focal point for Basic Assistance / HA proposal developments;
  • Supporting quality analysis and implementation for Basic Assistance / HA,
  • Managing donor and partner relations at multi-country response level.

You will also take a lead role in representing World Vision and the Ukraine Response at key cash coordination forums and events in coordination with the Ukraine Cash Team Lead.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in humanitarian aid, international development, social sciences or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as lead implementer of Cash and Voucher Assistance.
  • Knowledgeable about latest industry trends on Basic Assistance / HA programming and layering cash with market support interventions
  • Excellent understanding of both humanitarian assistance/emergency relief and development work, especially of child-focused concepts, approaches and processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, including report-writing and proposal writing.
  • The position requires occasional international travel to neighbouring countries and global offices of WVI.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically within Ukraine and project sites.
