Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.
Here’s where you come in:
As the Risk & Compliance Manager, you will support the Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) and will provide holistic Risk, Compliance, Incident and Investigation Management oversight.
You will promote a culture of integrated and effective Risk and Compliance Management and will work cross-functionally and collaboratively to achieve the function’s objectives.
You will be expected to understand and evaluate World Vision International’s unique organisational environment and apply a deep understanding of technical principles to develop an effective Risk & Compliance function.
The function covers three main areas:
Risk Management
You will support UCR leadership in developing, implementing and continuously improving Risk Management structures in alignment with the World Vision International (WVI) Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Partnership Policy to support the establishment of a risk-aware culture.
Within the UCR, you will facilitate the development of a risk appetite statement, coordinate and lead risk assessments, identify operational and strategic risks and facilitate prioritization of risks and identification of risk owners. By applying an analytical approach, you will ensure appropriate strategic risk analysis and identification to WVI operations and programs within the UCR.
Compliance Management
You will support the UCR team to establish a high quality, effective, and agile Compliance Management programme that is in alignment with the WVI Compliance Framework and Policy to ensure adherence of the UCR to global and local policies as well as external regulations.
Incident & Investigation Management
You will establish and continuously improve an Incident Management structure to ensure that incidents are being reported, managed and followed up on in a timely manner and will ensure those investigations are conducted legally, ethically, on a timely and cost-effective basis and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
You will also coordinate investigations with relevant functional owners (i.e. People & Culture, GIIU, Safeguarding), create and supervise an investigative team on specific investigations where required and lead or support investigations if needed.
Requirements include:
- Five years of working experience in relevant field (report writing, academic research, international non-governmental organizations work, law, risk and data analysis, grant quality and compliance) is preferred
- University (Bachelor essential, master’s preferred) relevant to the field of international relations, political science, disaster management, international development, humanitarian law, data management/information systems, international/political studies, sociology, population studies and other related fields)
- Excellent organizational, analytical and oral and written communication skills in English.
