Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) – Senior IT Manager At World Vision

Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior IT Manager for the Ukraine Crisis Response, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining global IT processes and standards within the multi-country Ukraine crisis response IT operations. You will manage services provided to all field office UCR locations, including locations within Romania, Ukraine, Moldova and Poland.

Individuals within the IT leadership job family have responsibility for activities that contribute to planning, creating and implementing an IT vision and strategy aligned with the company’s strategic business plan. They oversee the development of corporate standards, technology architecture, technology evaluation and transfer. They manage small to large teams of people responsible for developing and delivering IT solutions for the business and customers. Each role within this job family provides technical and business leadership to their organizations as well as to the business.

Requirements include:

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in IT leadership roles
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, applications development and support, networks, and computer operations
  • Requires experience in building relationships with people at a variety of levels and cultural backgrounds
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English, including report-writing
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
  • This position may require the staff to travel into insecure areas and therefore will require appropriate security training.
