Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) – Senior Technical Advisor, Cash Voucher and Market Based Assistance At World Vision

The escalation of conflict in Ukraine has forced more than 5 million people – mostly women and children – to flee to neighbouring countries. With the escalating crisis, the needs are growing by the hour. More than half of Ukraine’s children have either fled for safety within the country or are living as refugees.

Since the conflict started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Technical Advisor, Cash Voucher and Market Based Assistance, you will provide assistance to the Ukraine emergency response team. You will be responsible for understanding the ever-changing situation, support in articulating the vision for Cash Voucher Programming (CVP) development, be the focal point for CVP proposal developments, support quality analysis and implementation for CVP, and help manage donor and partner relations at the multi-country response level. You will take a lead role in representing World Vision and the Ukraine Crisis Response at key cash coordination forums and events in coordination with the Ukraine Cash Team Lead.

Requirements Include:

  • Master’s degree in humanitarian aid, international development, social sciences or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as lead implementer of Cash and Voucher Assistance.
  • Knowledgeable about latest industry trends on CVP programming and layering cash with market support interventions.
  • Understanding of both humanitarian assistance/emergency relief and development work, especially of child-focused concepts, approaches and processes.
  • Knowledge of major donor requirements and funding sources.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, including report-writing and proposal writing.
  • The position requires occasional international travel to neighbouring countries and global offices of WVI.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically within Ukraine and project sites.
