Overview of position:

  • CTG is looking for qualified staff as mentioned below in the TOR.

Role objectives: The Video / Audio Network Operations Technician is responsible for the operation & quality control of videoconferencing & audio conferencing equipment & infrastructure. The services associated with Video / Audio Network Operations Technician include but is not limited to:

  • Configure & operate video / audio conference codecs, video / audio conference bridges, video / audio conference network & endpoint management software, associated connected equipment & ancillary peripherals during the provision of video / audio conference services to the conference rooms, meeting rooms & event spaces.

Project reporting:

  • This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma & successful graduation from a minimum of 2 years of related college or other related tertiary academic or technical qualification.
  • 5 years relevant experience working as a Video / Audio Conference Technician.
  • Must have experience or related certification with video / audio conference endpoint & bridge configuration, operation & quality control.
  • Familiar with monitoring & metering of video & audio for quality control.
  • Familiar with broadcast facility communication systems (i.e., intercom, hybrids & telephone).
  • Familiar with video & audio routing & distribution.
  • The position reports to the relevant contract owner UN officer & requires close interaction & coordination with meeting participants & coordinators, providing technical & instructional advice to clients & end users on the proper operation of the video / audio conference equipment.
  • S / He must be able to work successfully both supervised & unsupervised.

Team management:

  • This role has no team management responsibility
