The Water & Sanitation Supervisor will support WASH Program Manager in monitoring the WASH program in Northwest Syria through regular field visits. The WASH supervisor will ensure that Donor technical recommendations and procedures are followed. The position will be based in Gaziantep Türkiye with regular visits to the field.
Setting up the activities /control and supervision
- Plan regular field visits inside NWS, monitor the field activities and prepare field visit reports to the line manager.
- Supervise and monitor field activities and provide the needed technical guidance.
- Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her Line Manager
- Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the course of the activities and suggest operational solutions.
- Review the filed technical documents including BoQs. drawings, and technical specifications booklets.
Logistics and Administration
- Track usage with monitoring tools provided.
- Promote safety procedures during the field visits.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of material delivered to working sites.
- Review the raised procurement files by the program field team and ensure its alignment with donor logistic requirements.
Reporting / communication
- Take part in weekly program meetings on request.
- Keep his/her monitoring tools and files archived in the Donor office, accessible to his/her Line Manager and Project Manager.
- Draw up and submit a weekly task report (which should include progress made by the team) to his/her Line Manager.
- Take part in the drafting of the monthly program pack.
- Establish and maintain good relations with local participants and communities (populations) in the operational fields.
- Listen to the populations and local participants in the field and report to his/her Line Manager any non-technical or safety-related issues which could affect the activities or safety of the teams.

Job requirement
- Nationality:Turkish
- Language: English and Arabic preferred
- Experience: 3 years in WaSH
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil engineering or architecture
- Experience in humanitarian sector.
