The OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe is seeking a S-2, Water and Energy Policy Adviser (TAJ000178)
We’re seeking a senior professional with a degree in relevant fields and 6+ years of progressively responsible professional experience.
Position Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of water sources management and energy policy principles aimed at ensuring sustainable development
- Experience in environmental development & protection
- Experience of working in a programmatic/strategic planning role
- Experience in identifying potentially relevant programs & projects and subsequently implementing, monitoring, and drafting analytical reports on them supervisory experience
- Ability to establish contact and develop confident relations with government officials and institutions, as well as civil society
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities
- Ability to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural, religious, gender, and political backgrounds/views
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of Russian language
- Prior work experience in field missions, preferably in Central Asia
