CONTEXT

Summary: The Web solution technical lead works in the “Acquisition” team within the Public Engagement and Acquisition Unit of the Communication and Fundraising Department of MSF-OCB (Operational Center of Brussels).

Reporting directly to the Acquisition Manager, you are responsible for setting up and managing performance monitoring tools for our website https://www.msf-azg.be/fr, as well as creating new features and improving the user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and maintain the front-end functionality of our website
  • Respond to specific needs for new designs, improved user experience or more advanced front-end functionality
  • Set up and manage site performance monitoring tools, including Google Analytics and GTM, to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports on site performance
  • Optimize the performance of the site, particularly in terms of loading speed and compatibility with different web browsers
  • Work closely with our backend agency to ensure smooth integration of Drupal CMS updates
  • Create and manage the donation pages (Ecommerce) for the fundraising part managed via the platform

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • A degree in computer science, web development or a related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in front-end development, including the use of languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Practical experience with Drupal Hubspot or a similar CMS is an asset

Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including installation and configuration of tags, triggers and variables
  • Experience in performance optimization, including load speed, image optimization, caching, code optimization, and mobile responsiveness
  • In-depth knowledge of browser compatibility and web standards, including how to test and ensure compatibility of sites with different browsers
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines
  • Interest and motivation to work in an humanitarian organization and more particularly with MSF

Languages

  • Excellent oral and written command of English
  • Excellent oral and written command of French or Dutch

CONDITIONS

  • Expected starting date: 01/05/23
  • Location: Brussels (Belgium)
  • Contract type: Open-ended contract – Full time – 50% homeworking possible per week
  • Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid
