Wildlife, Livestock and Epidemiology Specialist for STOP Spillover Project At Tetra Tech

The USAID-funded Strategies to Prevent Spillover (STOPS) project in Cambodia, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Wildlife, Livestock and Epidemiology Specialist. This position will be located in the main office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Position Description/Summary: The Wildlife, Livestock and Epidemiology (WLE) technical specialist will support implementation of the STOP Spillover project in Cambodia. The WLE technical specialist will oversee, coordinate and ensure the implementation of all WLE-related technical interventions and approaches in Cambodia, liaising with partners and reporting on project outcomes and interventions. This full time position will be located in the main project field office in Cambodia.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the design and implementation of wildlife, livestock and epidemiology-related interventions and research;

* Participate in country level work planning activities and participatory workshops, in consultation with the country team lead and national and local stakeholders;

* Perform relevant analyses and collect, analyse, and manage relevant project data;

* Support capacity strengthening activities including designing and delivering on-the-job training and providing mentorship to project One Health Design, Research and Mentoring (OH-DReaM) working groups;

* Work together with other technical specialists to ensure an effective One Health approach is implemented throughout the project;

* Ensure gender and social inclusion considerations are integrated across the project; and

* Participate regularly in WLE Hub meetings and STOP Spillover global meetings.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 5 years’ project implementation experience; Masters’ degree preferred;

* 5+ years’ experience designing and implementing field activities in Cambodia including working with communities and the public sector to design and implement sustainable local development solutions;

* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and data analytics;

* Demonstrated leadership, versatility, integrity, and gender sensitivity;

* Ability to travel to the field (up to 50% time);

* Tactfulness, team player, enthusiasm for the job, good human relations and partnership skills, integrity and ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure; and

* Cambodian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
