Project Manager – Education in Emergencies

Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Education in Emergencies (EiE) interventions. The role ensures the implementation of high-quality education activities, effective budget management, compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and strong coordination with stakeholders, including clusters, local authorities, school management, and communities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Project Management and Implementation
- Lead the implementation of education in emergencies activities in accordance with project objectives, work plans and donor requirements.
- Design and implementation of formal education activities and non-formal education programmes
- Ensure that activities are consistent with the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) Minimum Standards and other relevant global standards.
- Prepare detailed implementation and procurement plans and ensure on-time delivery.
- Overseeing the establishment and rehabilitation of learning spaces, teacher training, distribution of educational materials, and delivery of non-formal/accelerated education programs.
- Ensure the application of the principles of protection, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), child protection, gender equality, and do no harm in all educational interventions.
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Develop and supervise educational project monitoring plans, tools and indicators.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor educational activities and provide technical support to teams.
- Prepare and present high-quality narrative and financial reports to donors and management.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from the education response.
- Financial and Resource Management
- -Manage the project budget in coordination with the finance department.
- 2- Monitor spending compared to the approved budget and ensure compliance with donor regulations.
- 3- Supporting the purchasing and logistics operations of educational materials and services.
- Team building and capacity building
- 1- Supervise and direct project staff and provide training and periodic evaluations.
- 2- Promoting a positive work environment that encourages cooperation and accountability.
- 3- Identify capacity gaps among staff and organize professional development opportunities in the field of education in emergencies.
- Coordination and representation
- Representing the organization in the Education Cluster and coordination forums related to education in emergencies.
- Coordinate with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and community representatives to ensure integration and avoid duplication.
- Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners and stakeholders.
Note: The above responsibilities are primary. Other responsibilities may be assigned to this position in the future, according to the White Hands Association’s organizational chart.
Basic requirements:
Qualifications and requirements
- -University degree in education, social sciences or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- – At least 3-5 years of experience in project management in humanitarian or development contexts, including at least two years in education in emergencies.
- – Proven experience in managing donor-funded education projects (e.g., UN, international organizations, institutional donors).

- – Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken (preferred).
- – Strong computer skills (MS Office, project management tools).
