Doctors of the World is the German chapter of the international humanitarian organization Médecins du Monde. We work to ensure that everyone everywhere can exercise their right to health – through political advocacy and medical assistance.
open.med Munich comprises a medical contact point and a mobile service for people without health insurance. In addition to general medical consultations, the contact point also offers consultations for children, women, and those with chronic and mental illnesses. A team travels weekly by treatment bus to Munich Central Station and an emergency shelter, the City of Munich’s overnight shelter, to reach people in a low-threshold manner. As part of social counseling during consultation hours and mobile outreaches, we assist with questions regarding (re-)integration into health insurance coverage and refer people to the Munich counseling and support network for further questions. Volunteer doctors and medical students, coordinated by full-time staff, provide medical care during consultations and outreaches. The team is also supported by interns/federal volunteers and interpreters.
To support our team, we are currently seeking a Project Manager (32 hours per week) for our Munich office. The position is limited to two years.
