Takaful Al Sham Charity partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programs, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.
Job Purpose
Responsible for managing and implementing early recovery and economic empowerment project carried in Syria, ensuring that the project’s objectives are kept on track, monitor monthly spending on ongoing & planned activities within the approved budget, ensuring documentation and implementation in accordance with the requirements of management and donors, submitting transparent periodic reports, composing project proposals to develop the early recovery program, have the ability to lead the team through distance administration.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervising and providing the necessary support for all tasks and daily follow-up of all activities related to program projects.
• Participation in preparing an annual plan for activities and projects, including performance indicators, Fund sources, methods of financing, implementing agencies, and how to supervise them, and provide the necessary justifications for approval.
• Participation in studying projects according to specialization and preparing technical paragraphs within the studies.
• Direct supervision of the implementation of approved projects and campaigns, and work to follow them up.
• Follow financial procedures to ensure transactions are properly documented, budget management and progress monitoring.
• Dealing with data collection tools, analyzing data and highlighting results.
• Developing a plan for archiving and supervising all program and project documents
• Preparing periodic reports for the line manager on the activities and projects of the program
• Follow up on personnel issues for the project in coordination with the Human Resources Department
• Verify all documents submitted and ensure all documents are in line with financial policies, human resources and procurement procedures.
• Preparing risk reports, periodic reports on program achievements, and reports on projects to the Program Department
• Attending program meetings and meetings with donor.
• Adherence to codes of conduct, child protection and sexual exploitation.
• Contribute to preparing strategic and operational plans for the ER sector
• Representing the organization in relevant cluster and sub-cluster meetings.
• Follow up the support departments and meet their requirements and coordinate with them to ensure access to the required results and outputs.Design work plans in accordance with the project’s specific goals and in a timely manner.
• Conduct interviews to select the project’s staff, in addition, to provide direct and sufficient support after recruitment.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience/Languages)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Economics / Business Administration / Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management in non-profit organizations.
• At least 1 years of experience in economic empowerment projects, training projects, and small business grants..
• Strong knowledge in project life cycle, and preparing periodic and progress reports, in addition, to prepare budgets and operational plans for projects.
• Very good knowledge of international donors’ terms and their compliance requirements.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability to conduct teamwork, mentoring, coordinating, following up, initiating, and developing the projects
• A very good command of effective communication and representation skills (oral and written).
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written).
• Analyzing and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of negotiation, persuasion, planning, and organizing skills
