The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of one or more of PPL’s offices, as well as representing the Bureau and Agency in a variety of internal and external capacities. PPL is responsible for directing the Agency’s policy planning and shaping the Agency’s overall strategic development and performance.
Directs the work of such offices, represents their work to Agency upper management and outside the Agency. Responsibilities for these offices are unique and complex and require the incumbent to develop strong links with Bureau, Agency and the larger inter-agency partners.
Provides management and consulting services to top executives of the agency on change management and internal business process improvements to improve the effectiveness of major agency operations and functions.
Promotes the development and maintenance of effective relationships with U.S. private business and voluntary groups, philanthropies, international institutions, multilateral and bilateral donors, other government departments and agencies, and academic communities in all of the disciplines related to the Bureau’s programs and projects.
