The Opportunity- Education assistant and support in learning, Education in Emergency, based in Bihac, NATIONAL POSITION

The role requires the implementation of the Education in Emergency activities and is responsible for the direct performance in the Akelius Language Learning Program in Una Sana Canton as formal and non-formal learning in the schools and TRCs. She/he may be required to liaise with the local key partner organisations and other stakeholders and agencies relevant to the sector as well as with the school’s management and teachers in USK. Education assistant and support in learning works in collaboration with programme staff in EiE under EiE Program Lead. In order to successfully implement programme activities its necessary to collect data, analyse and report.

Furthermore, the role requires the provision of general support during field activities, general office support and other ad-hoc duties as required.

In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

QUALIFICATIONS
* University degree in relevant field;
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Excellent knowledge (both spoken and written) of German and/or English language
* Native in BCS (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) languages
* Excellent skills in teaching/facilitating and pedagogical skills
* Excellent skills in reporting and data collection
* Strong computer literacy, advance skills in use of MS office,
* Knowledge about education in BiH
* Experience in reporting and data collection would be an asset;
* Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams in the event of major emergencies;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, intercultural sensitivity
* Strong teamwork skills
* Mandatory clean driving license;
* Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children; including a willingness to abide and enforce the Child Safeguarding Policy. In particular, a good understanding of the organisational mandate and child focus.

We offer a competitive package in the context of the sector. The contract length is 3 months with possibility of extension. This role is offered on the basis of national terms and conditions only.
