Communications and Partnerships Officer At French Red Cross

The Overseas National Directorate of the French Red Cross (CRf) employs nearly 550 people spread across 6 territories (Antilles, Guyana, Réunion, Mayotte, New Caledonia and French Polynesia) in 40 establishments, centers and services.

The French Red Cross in Mayotte: in order to respond as closely as possible to the needs of the most vulnerable populations and as part of the recovery plan for Mayotte following the passage of cyclone “Chido” in December 2024, the action of the CRf in Mayotte is part of the following 4 strategic axes: crisis management and prevention, health prevention action, fight against exclusion and development of training for French Red Cross volunteers.

The actions of the establishments and services falling under the territorial management of the French Red Cross in Mayotte are defined in conjunction with the health and social actors and the public authorities of the territories concerned (Regional Health Agency, Departmental Council, Prefecture and associative partners) in order to best meet the needs of the population and to be consistent with the strategic orientations defined by the Mayotte 2030 recovery plan and by the associated public policies.

1. Monitoring of funding and reporting to donors (public and private)

Manage the planning, coordination, and production of narrative and financial reports, in accordance with the specific requirements of each donor (formats, indicators, deadlines).
Consolidate data transmitted by operational and financial teams to ensure reliable and comprehensive reporting.
Monitor impact indicators and their promotion with financial partners.
Maintain a consolidated financing dashboard: donors, amounts, deadlines, expected deliverables.
Ensure consistency of reporting at all levels (local, zonal, national).

2. Project communication & promotion of activities

Design and produce communication materials for donors, partners and institutions (newsletters, reports, presentations, visual content, etc.).
Structure and lead internal communication around project activities (internal newsletters, promotion of field teams, dissemination of deliverables, etc.).
Ensure the promotion of actions and results to various internal (teams, headquarters, partners) and external (institutions, media) stakeholders.
Contribute to the rollout of project communication across different formats and channels: written, visual, digital.

3. Development and facilitation of partnerships

Participate in the implementation of the loyalty strategy for existing donors and the prospecting of new financial partners (public, private, foundations).
Support the drafting of funding application files, concept notes, contributions to calls for projects.
Prepare materials and language elements for institutional and partnership exchanges.
Represent the project to local stakeholders, in support of territorial coordination.

Practical information related to the position

Position based at the Territorial Directorate of the French Red Cross in Mayotte (Passamainti)

Training & experience

Bac +3 to +5 in political science, communication, international relations, project management, or equivalent.
Previous experience in monitoring projects funded by public or private donors is a plus.

Key skills

Excellent writing skills (French required, English appreciated).
Knowledge of donor funding mechanisms (such as AFD, EU, foundations, etc.).
Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Canva or InDesign is a plus.
Ease in collecting, analyzing and synthesizing technical information.
Organizational skills, autonomy and rigor.

Soft skills

Diplomacy, listening skills, ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
Initiative and ability to propose innovative tools and formats.
Interest in solidarity, development, climate or health issues (depending on the sector of activity).
