Job Summary, Objective and Purpose

Site engineer works

(Field Site Engineer) is responsible for technical and field supervision of the implementation of home restoration works according to approved plans and specifications. The position aims to ensure the quality of engineering work and compliance with technical standards, provide technical support to field teams, and contribute to resolving any technical problems that may arise during implementation to ensure the project objectives are met within the specified timeline and budget.

Job duties and responsibilities

Supervising the implementation of field work for the targeted homes and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and engineering standards

Monitor daily work progress and ensure the quality of materials and equipment used.

Preparing periodic field reports showing progress, quality, technical problems, and proposed solutions.

Providing technical guidance to field teams and contractors to ensure proper execution of work.

Contribute to the technical planning of future works and prepare implementation schedules

Participate in the provisional and final acceptance processes of works and ensure their compliance with specifications.

Coordinate with other project teams to ensure smooth running of the project and meeting the project schedule.

Support the development of quality monitoring tools and engineering specifications in the project

Participate in field and technical meetings with internal teams, beneficiaries and contractors

Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and engineering policies approved by the organization and UNDP

Carry out any additional tasks requested by the project manager or supervising engineer to ensure the successful progress of the work.

Job requirements

University degree – Civil Engineering or Architecture

Languages: Arabic and English

At least 3 years of practical experience in supervising construction or renovation projects

Knowledge of engineering standards for reconstruction and repair projects

Experience in using engineering design and drawing software such as AutoCAD or equivalent

Proficiency in using basic computer programs (MS Office)

Ability to work in multi-tasking field environments and adapt to different working conditions

Ability to solve technical problems and make decisions quickly and effectively
