Volunteers for Data Collection – Post-Assessment of Women Friendly Label (WFL)
1. Background
The Women Friendly Label (WFL) initiative aims to promote gender-responsive and inclusive workplaces across small and medium enterprises (SMEs). As part of continuous learning and accountability, a post-assessment will be conducted to evaluate the outcomes and experiences of SMEs that have undergone the WFL certification process.
The assessment will target 24 SMEs, primarily located in Amman, with additional coverage in Irbid (2 SMEs) and Zarqa (2 SMEs).
2. Purpose of the Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to support the collection of high-quality, reliable data for the WFL post-assessment through structured tools developed by the MEAL unit. The findings will inform program improvements, accountability efforts, and future scaling of the WFL initiative.
3. Scope of Work
Two volunteers will be recruited to support the data collection process. Each volunteer will be responsible for:
- Participating in a training on the data collection tools and methodology.
- Piloting the data collection tool and providing feedback for refinement.
- Conducting data collection using an online tool developed by AAAR MEAL.
- Engaging with SME representatives in a professional and ethical manner.
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of submitted data.
- Reporting any challenges or issues encountered during data collection.
4. Methodology
- Data will be collected through an online data collection platform.
- The process will include:
- Enumerator training
- Tool piloting
- Full-scale data collection
5. Duration
- Each volunteer is expected to commit 10 working days.
- The assignment will take place between May and June [2026].
6. Location
- Primary: Amman
- Additional field visits: Irbid and Zarqa
7. Deliverables
- Completed data collection forms for assigned SMEs.
- Feedback on tool usability during piloting phase.
- Daily/periodic progress updates (as requested).
- Final submission of all collected data within the agreed timeline.

9. Required Qualifications
- Background in social sciences, development studies, or related fields (students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Previous experience in data collection or surveys is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with online data collection tools (e.g., Kobo, Google Forms, or similar) is preferred.
- Ability to travel within Jordan (Amman, Irbid, Zarqa).
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality and confidentiality.
10. Ethical Considerations
- Maintain confidentiality of all respondents and collected data.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to data collection.
- Adhere to organizational safeguarding and ethical guidelines.
11. Compensation
- This is a volunteer position.
- Any compensation, transportation coverage, or stipends (if applicable) will be communicated separately.
