This internship is part of an academic, professional or socio-professional training program, and must meet the conditions set by the Employment Market Supervisory Board (CSME). The duration of the internship, set by the tripartite agreement, is 6 to 12 months at 100%.

Context & Mission
Doctors Without Borders is an independent international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, to people affected by natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The accounting department in Geneva is made up of two units, one responsible for HQ accounting activities (suppliers, treasury, taxes) and the other ensuring accounting monitoring of missions in MSF intervention countries (field accounting).
The intern will be integrated into the HQ accounting team and will collaborate primarily with the accounts payable accountant. They may occasionally support the rest of the accounting team, whether in HQ or in the field.
Main responsibilities
The intern’s intervention is focused on learning around specific recurring projects, and as a priority around the complete processing of the supplier invoice cycle, including in particular:
- Reception, verification (legal and tax aspects) and accounting (general and analytical accounting) of supplier invoices via invoice processing software and accounting ERP (MS Dynamics D365).
- Justification of supplier accounts by carrying out certain key monthly/quarterly controls (debtor suppliers, analysis of aging balance, etc.).
- Participation in annual closing work and preparation of audits according to the periods.
The intern may also be involved in various accounting tasks as required (ad hoc analyses, support for processing expense reports, internal control documentation, etc. – non-exhaustive list).

- Internship in progress or at the end of studies, as part of accounting training
- Fluent written and spoken French, good written English, German a plus
- Knowledge of common office tools

Working conditions
- Mandatory tripartite internship agreement

- Gross monthly salary: CHF 2,000.-
