Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care.

Mission

The Stream project – Supply chain TRansformation for Efficiency of Activities in Medical operations – aims to optimize the medical supply chain.

This is a key lever for strengthening the management of our resources and improving the care provided to our beneficiaries.

This project is based on three main pillars:
• Integration of several aspects of the medical supply chain’s operational chain within Supply teams, with a scope adjusted according to operational activities.
• Skills development through training and the provision of forecasting tools, a medical product ordering system (MedOrder), and a data analysis tool (SharpIsy).
• Development of hospital pharmacies and enhancement of pharmaceutical services to promote the judicious use of medical resources.

Main responsibilities

Internal communication and team leadership for those involved in the Stream project:

  • Write and maintain the project sheet for the Stream project.
  • Ensure the regular dissemination of information to MSF headquarters teams and field missions.
  • Update and improve the content of the Workplace Stream.
  • Write, structure and update a newsletter intended for different stakeholders.
  • Simplify and make key messages accessible to support teams in understanding projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation and structuring of communications related to the deployments of the various projects in the Stream ecosystem.

Support for Change Management activities:

  • Participate in the design, writing and distribution of Change Management questionnaires.
  • Consolidate, analyze and interpret the indicators from the questionnaires in order to identify trends and optimize actions over time.
  • Write summaries and propose recommendations based on the results.

Change Management Support:

  • Observe team dynamics and operating methods to understand needs and potential obstacles.
  • Contribute to the analysis of the impacts of projects on teams, roles and processes
  • Participate in the creation and formatting of materials (presentations, notes, guides, etc.) intended to support teams in the phases of transformation.

Development of cross-functional collaboration and participation in project bodies:

  • Promote the sharing of information and best practices between different services and departments.
  • Actively participate in Stream team meetings.
  • Attend, when necessary, meetings of other departments involved in the projects in order to strengthen the overall coordination and coherence of actions.

In the case of a 2-year apprenticeship contract, the scope is likely to evolve to include other projects in the Purchasing & Supply department.

  • Proficiency in French (level C1) and operational English (level B2).

Status and conditions

  • One or two year alternating contract depending on the level of studies (apprenticeship or professional training depending on profile).
  • Position based in Paris.

  • Remuneration from 43% to 100% of the minimum wage depending on age and level of education.
  • Supplementary health insurance fully covered by MSF.
  • Meal vouchers with a face value of €12 (60% covered by MSF).
  • Coverage of 50% of public transport subscription (weekly, monthly or annual) or bicycle mileage allowance (€0.25 per km, limited to €450 per year).
