Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care.

Within the Infrastructure team, the apprentice Systems and Network Administrator works under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager and in collaboration with experienced administrators. The aim of this apprenticeship is to allow the apprentice to progressively develop skills in the administration, operation, and support of information systems.
Main activities
Reporting to the Infrastructure Service Manager.
Administration and MCO (Maintenance in Operational Condition):
- Participate in maintaining the operational status of systems, networks and services
- Contribute to the availability of applications and data
- Assist in conducting inventories (servers, network equipment, workstations, accounts)
- Participate in the basic analysis of performance and malfunctions
- Update the technical documentation (procedures, diagrams, quick reference guides)
- Suggest simple improvements (scripts, organization, documentation)
Systems and network operation:
- Participate in the integration of new tools or equipment (basic configuration)
- Manage user access rights under supervision (accounts, groups, shares)
- Handle level 1 and 2 incidents according to your skill level
- Apply the security and access rules defined by the team
Maintenance and safety:
- Raising awareness and participation in best practices for IT security
- Assistance with managing updates, patches and maintenance operations
- Participation in corrective and preventive maintenance actions
- Contribution to maintenance and safety documentation
Support :
- Technical support for users (workstations, collaborative tools, access)
- Providing support to support teams on system and network issues
- Writing simple user guides (FAQs, short procedures)
- Participation in service continuity
Contributing to the development of cross-functionality:
- Participation in infrastructure development projects
- Working in collaboration with other services/departments
- Contribution to cross-functional IT projects (migration, improvement, security)
Technology watch :
- Introduction to systems, network and cybersecurity technologies
- Participation in the team’s technological monitoring
- Sharing knowledge acquired during the work-study program
Desired profile
Formation
- Student in BTS SIO, BUT Networks & Telecoms, Professional Bachelor’s degree, engineering school (integrated preparatory program) or equivalent training
LANGUAGES :
- Technical French and English (B2)
SKILLS :
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Network concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP)
- Sensitivity to IT security issues
- Interest in the administration and operation of infrastructure
- Prior experience (internship, school projects, home lab) is a plus
Aptitudes :
- Ability to cooperate, sense of responsibility. Being organized, able to manage time and priorities
- Analytical skills, synthesis skills, and responsiveness to problems
- Pedagogical. Independent, diplomatic, team player
Status and conditions
- One or two year alternating contract depending on the level of studies (apprenticeship or professional training depending on profile).
- Position based in Paris.

- Remuneration from 43% to 100% of the minimum wage depending on age and level of education.
- Supplementary health insurance fully covered by MSF.
- Meal vouchers with a face value of €12 (60% covered by MSF).
- Coverage of 50% of public transport subscription (weekly, monthly or annual) or bicycle mileage allowance (€0.25 per km, limited to €450 per year).
