Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Mission :
Reporting to the Country Director, you will be responsible for the overall supervision and development of the local ARC (Audit, Risk & Compliance) function (risk management, internal and external audits, fraud prevention, and protection/safeguarding).
You will contribute to improving internal controls and risk mitigation systems within the country office, in accordance with the policies and tools defined by the ARC framework.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the coordination and facilitation of risk management;
Coordinating and facilitating responses to external audits (conducted by donors, external partners, and public authorities, as applicable);
Coordinating and implementing internal audit and internal control activities;
Contributing to and supporting the prevention and management of fraud and safeguarding situations;
At the country office level, ensuring the identification, reporting, and management of risks related to operational partnerships;
Ensuring the overall management of the ARC (Audit, Risk, and Compliance) function for the country office.
You will directly manage three staff members: an internal audit officer, a safeguarding officer, and an archivist.
Profile :
You hold a university degree and have at least 5 years of experience in international development, humanitarian aid or a related field, including collaboration with international partners.
You are proficient in the project management cycle, associated tools, budget preparation, and donor rules and regulations.
You are recognized for your managerial skills and have at least 3 years of experience in team management.
You demonstrate excellent organizational, research and prioritization skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
You have a well-developed critical mind and strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
You are adaptable, reliable and able to work effectively in constantly changing environments, both independently and as part of a team.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, and you demonstrate rigor, integrity, a sense of confidentiality and experience in partner management.
Employment conditions
Contract under French or Central African law: 6 months until 31/12/2026.
National applications: subject to the national employment and salary conditions in force at ACF in the Central African Republic.
International applications:
Gross monthly salary: from €2,597 to €2,968 depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract.
Monthly per diem and living expenses: €774 net, paid in the field.
Monthly context allowance: €150.
Child allowance: €1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (capped at €6,000/year).
Transportation and accommodation: Travel and shared accommodation provided.
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, and of your medical expenses for up to 1 month after End of your contract;
Salary maintenance schemes (sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave);
Leave and R&R: 25 days of paid leave per year and 20 R&R days per year; reimbursement of airfare up to a maximum amount to travel to the chosen break zone, and a flat-rate allowance of €215 per R&R day;
