ABOUT ADESO

NEAR is currently hosted by Adeso, an expanding and vibrant African based international development and humanitarian organization. Adeso and NEAR both aspire to prevent and overcome situations that adversely affect community well-being by: Influencing policy change and enacting systemic change through innovative solutions led by local and national actors.

ABOUT THE BULSHO FUND

As a Solutions initiative under NEAR, the Bulsho Fund (BF) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing humanitarian and development objectives in Somalia. BF’s mission is to alleviate poverty, promote sustainable development, and improve the well-being of vulnerable communities through inclusive, participatory, and locally driven approaches.

As a newly established organization, Bulsho Fund is in the process of operationalizing its governance structures and institutional frameworks. To facilitate this process, the organization seeks to engage an experienced consultant to develop essential documentation and operationalization framework for the community empowerment fund.

POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of this consultancy is to guide the initial implementation plan of Bulsho Fund and establish a clear short-term operational framework and actionable work plan that will support the Fund’s initial phase of implementation, coordination, and institutional strengthening.

The consultant will provide strategic guidance and technical input to help the Governance Board define the organization’s operational priorities, establish key management processes, and ensure that the organization is effectively positioned to deliver on its objectives during its formative phase.
