DCAF contributes to making peace and development more sustainable by assisting partner states and international actors supporting these states, to improve the governance of their security sector through inclusive and participatory reforms. Call for Applications – Consultancy on Climate, Peace, and Security in Central Mali
DCAF – the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance – is seeking applications from qualified consultants or consulting firms to conduct a two-part study under the project “Malian Women Mobilized for Climate, Peace and Security.”
This initiative aims to address climate-related security risks and promote the leadership of women and girls in six conflict-affected communes in Central Mali.
The consultancy will include:
(1) a diagnostic study on gender-specific climate, peace, and security dynamics at the local level
(2) a legal and policy analysis of the national and international frameworks related to gender, climate, peace, and security
The working language of the consultancy is French. Knowledge of local languages is considered a strong asset. The consultant must also be able and willing to travel within Mali, including to the regions targeted by the project (Mopti, San, and Ségou).
