The Emergency Supply Prepositioning Strategy (ESUPS) initiative is seeking an experienced consultant to support the planning, coordination and delivery of its global event on prepositioned humanitarian stocks, scheduled for October 2027 in Stockholm, Sweden (location to be confirmed).
The event will bring together UN agencies, NGOs, donors, governments, private sector representatives and academia to strengthen coordination and collective approaches to humanitarian stock management.
Working with the ESUPS Project Manager, the consultant will support event governance and planning, stakeholder mapping and engagement, agenda and speaker coordination, communications, logistics, participant registration, documentation, on-site coordination and post-event reporting. The role focuses on organisational and operational coordination rather than event facilitation.
Required qualifications and experience
- In-depth knowledge of ESUPS, its key stakeholders and partner projects, and the STOCKHOLM platform. Familiarity with the platform is essential.
- At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in humanitarian supply chains and coordination.
- Proven experience organising and coordinating international events, particularly in the humanitarian sector.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and an established professional network in the humanitarian sector.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; French and Spanish are assets.
Applicants do not need to be based in Germany. International consultants are warmly welcome and encouraged to participate.
