Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a global nonprofit housing organization working in over 70 countries, driven by the vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. HFHI began operations in Ukraine in 2022 to address the growing housing crisis caused by the war. HFH in Ukraine works across a spectrum of housing-related initiatives—from supporting housing recovery and reconstruction, and developing energy-efficient, affordable rental housing models, to advancing sustainable housing finance and advocating for inclusive housing policies that serve internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable communities.
Recognizing that housing challenges in Ukraine cannot be solved in isolation, HFH in Ukraine emphasizes the importance of strong, localized partnerships that ensure contextually relevant and community-rooted solutions. According to its Strategic Plan 2025-2030, HFH in Ukraine embraces a partner-led operational model, placing local organizations at the center of implementation. This approach promotes local ownership, enhances sustainability, and ensures that interventions are grounded in the specific needs and aspirations of Ukrainian communities. HFH in Ukraine envisions its local partners as the primary drivers of change—leading housing recovery and co-creation initiatives, catalyzing community resilience, and contributing to an inclusive and functional housing system in Ukraine.
In this spirit, HFH in Ukraine is launching a Call for Partnership.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) — це глобальна неприбуткова організація, яка займається вирішенням питаннь доступу до гідних умов житла у понад 70 країнах світу. HFHI розпочала діяльність в Україні у 2022 році, у відповідь на зростаючу житлову кризу, спричинену війною. HFHI в Україні працює у різних напрямках, пов’язаних із питаннями доступу до житла — від підтримки відновлення та реконструкції житла, розробки моделей енергоефективного та доступного орендного житла, до розвитку сталої житлової фінансової системи та адвокації інклюзивної житлової політики, яка охоплює внутрішньо переміщених осіб (ВПО), тих, хто повертається до своїх громад, а також інші вразливі категорії населення.

HFHI in Ukraine sees its local partners as the main drivers of change — as leaders in the processes of housing recovery, co-creation of solutions, strengthening community resilience, and building an inclusive and functional housing system in Ukraine.
In continuation of the above, HFHI in Ukraine announces a search for partners among interested organizations in Ukraine.

If you are a Ukrainian civil society organization (CSO), private sector entity, municipality, research institution, or academic body interested in contributing to sustainable, inclusive, affordable, and resilient housing solutions, please submit your completed application form (link to form), along with all relevant attachments, to ukraine@habitat.org by 30th of June 2025.
