CARE International Türkiye is seeking qualified and experienced consultants to provide technical support to CARE Syria’s agriculture and livelihoods interventions under a six-month consultancy assignment (November 2025 – March 2026), based in Aleppo, Syria.
The Agronomist Consultant will play a critical role in ensuring that the technical design and implementation of agricultural activities are climate-smart, sustainable, and aligned with community needs, national strategies, and sectoral/cluster guidelines. The consultant will provide technical guidance, capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and support to monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities, reporting directly to the Livelihoods Program Manager.
Key Deliverables include:
- Monthly Technical Support Summaries
- Stakeholder Coordination Briefs
- Practical Training Delivery Reports
- SOP Updates & Integration Notes on Agriculture/Food Security Cluster guidelines
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in agriculture/livelihoods programming in crisis-affected contexts.
- Strong knowledge of Syrian agricultural policies, coordination mechanisms, and humanitarian cluster systems.
- Experience in working with government bodies, INGOs, and local actors.
- Arabic and English language required.
