Miyamoto International invites interested professionals to apply for a consultancy as a Field Communications Assistant within the framework of the Colombia Earthquake Response Program.
The consultancy will support the documentation and communications coverage of the program’s activities, primarily in Pereira and Risaralda, under the direction of the Communications Consultant. The work includes accompanying technical and damage assessment teams during field activities, as well as generating and organizing photographic and audiovisual materials.
Main responsibilities
• Carry out photographic and audiovisual recording of damage assessments, technical visits, meetings, training sessions and other program activities.
• Support the conducting of interviews and the collection of testimonies and information in the field.
• Document basic information associated with photographs, videos, and interviews, including location, date, activity, participants, and context.
• Identify activities, stories, testimonials, and results relevant to program communication.
• Organize, classify and transfer the generated photographic and audiovisual material in a timely manner.
• Conduct field coverage independently when required.
• Coordinate with technical and operational teams to develop communication activities without interfering with evaluation processes, safety conditions, or relationships with communities.
• Apply criteria of respect, consent, confidentiality and responsible handling of information and images.
Required profile
• Experience or training related to communication, photography, video, audiovisual production or related areas.
• Ability to perform photography and video in field work conditions.
• Ability to organize and manage photographic and audiovisual material.
• Ability to interact professionally with technical teams, institutions, and communities.
• Ability to work independently while following established guidelines and priorities.
• Availability to travel and perform field activities mainly in Pereira and Risaralda.
Previous experience in field coverage, interviews, audiovisual content production, or project documentation will be valued.
