At Global Witness, we’re on a mission to shift the balance of power from the polluters profiting most from the climate emergency to the people most adversely affected.
We are an independent, global organisation of investigators and campaigners using cutting edge investigative methods. We shine a light on the financial and political systems that enable that enable corporate abuses of power that harm people and planet.
We are all determined and confident that together we can secure a better tomorrow for everyone. If you are inspired to join us as we investigate and expose abuses of power, tell the stories the world needs to hear and campaign for systemic change, we would love to hear from you.
About the consultancy
The Consortium Manager (Consultant) will play a critical role in supporting Global Witness’s objectives through the implementation of a Norwegian‑government‑funded consortium grant. The consultant will be responsible for overseeing effective delivery, working closely across Global Witness and externally with consortium partners.
The project is grounded in protection and partnership: ensuring land and environmental defenders in Colombia and Brazil can stay safe, be heard, and keep leading the fight to protect forests. As Consortium Manager, you will support a diverse group of organisations working across local, national and global arenas to turn trusted evidence into action – strengthening protection systems while pushing for accountability in the trade and financial markets shaping forest loss.
Key elements of the role include relationship management, quality assurance, and preparation of quarterly narrative and financial reports. The consultant will collaborate with all partners and sub‑grantees to ensure workplans and deliverables remain on track, risks are identified and addressed early, and consortium-wide coordination is effective, accountable, and aligned with agreed objectives and values.
This consultancy is central to ensuring Global Witness meets its obligations to donors and partners by maintaining compliance, fostering trust, and delivering a complex programme with credibility and impact.
The Consortium Manager will maintain clear visibility across programme delivery and learning, and will provide the dedicated management, coordination, and oversight needed for a grant of this scale and scope.
We are looking for an English, Spanish and working Portuguese speaker who is confident managing complex, multi-country, multi-partner programmes with a track record of successful delivery.
