The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Norwegian Red Cross (NoRC) are seeking consultancy firms or individuals to guide and support the acquisition of a more predictable and diverse funding base for their programs with the National Societies
The purpose of the consultancy is to conduct a detailed donor mapping process to identify specific funding opportunities to foster the 2030 IFRC strategy, focusing on Health and preparedness and response to conflict and climate-related disasters. Specific geographic focus will be given to the most affected countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Consultant’s profile
The Consultant (Consulting firm, multidiscipline group of consultants) shall have the following key qualifications:
Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in donor relations and funding strategy development within the humanitarian sector.
- Experience specifically with health, climate, and disaster response will be highly regarded.
- Proven track record in developing innovative financing modalities and partnerships for humanitarian or development organizations.
- Proven experience in conducting donor mapping exercises, particularly for international organizations, NGOs, or intergovernmental organizations. Familiarity with institutional donors, foundations, and multilateral funding bodies.
- Strong knowledge of the MENA donor landscape, with a particular focus on health, climate, and emergency response sectors.
- Strong knowledge of health and climate programming, and humanitarian response initiatives, particularly in conflict and displacement contexts.
Skills:
- Strong ability to analyses complex data and present insights in clear, actionable formats. Proficient in data collection, trend analysis, and creating strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing high-level reports, business plans, and donor-facing materials.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including donors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables within a set timeline.
- Fluency in English is required
Bidders are expected to show evidence and experience in these kinds of assignments. In addition, the bidders are expected to submit their proposals in English.
