Data Collector – (Causal Worker) At Save the Children

The Opportunity – Data Collector(Causal Worker)

Post location: Gaza Field Office

Contract Duration and Level of Effort: 6 months.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Collect individual level data of beneficiaries of the WFP BSFP and TSPF project at the nutrition sites. Responsible for accurate and timely data entry, data quality reporting any errors.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Nutrition Program Officer

Staff reporting to this post: None.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Beneficiary registration and verification before distributions, ensuring accuracy of personal and household data.
  • Record quantities distributed, attendance lists, and other relevant indicators as per WFP data collection guidelines.
  • Monitoring and documenting distribution processes, including start/end times, site conditions, and adherence to WFP standards.
  • Assist in maintaining confidential and organized records of beneficiaries and distribution data.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, data inconsistencies, or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to WFP’s data protection, safeguarding, and accountability policies.
  • Participate in training sessions on data collection tools and humanitarian standards as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential:

  • Proficient in mobile data collection platforms (Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or similar).
  • Previous experience of working with an NGO.
  • Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, data entry).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Any previous experience in working within the Health & Nutrition programs***.***
