Assignment :

You will support the Country Director in the implementation of Action Against Hunger (ACF) programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of ACF programs at the field level through the supervision of the Field Coordinators.
You will ensure that the necessary actions are taken to guarantee the quality of projects and their compliance with internal procedures, and you will actively participate in the operational management of the mission, working closely with the Country Director.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Participating in defining the country strategy;
Leading the implementation of programs
; Supervising and supporting the Field Coordinator team: Direct management of 8 people: (Coordinators Mongbwalu, Drodro, Bambo, Mweso; Deputy Coordinator Bunia; Logistics Manager Goma; Finance/HR Manager Goma; Security Officer NK) and indirect management of 165 people;
Ensuring the mission’s compliance with internal and donor procedures;
Under the authority of the Country Director, ensuring the operational management of the mission, in particular the implementation of the mission action plan

Profile:

You hold a postgraduate degree and have at least three years of field experience in humanitarian and/or development programs, including one year supervising a field office for an international NGO.
Ideally, you have prior experience in a similar role and/or with Action Against Hunger, experience or strong skills in multi-sectoral technical leadership at the country level, in negotiating technical and funding partnerships, and/or in adult education and workshop facilitation.
Knowledge of the country is an asset.
You possess strong listening, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
You have good management and leadership skills, as well as strong analytical abilities, and are fluent in both written and spoken French and English.

Employment conditions

Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees travelling to this country.
Fixed-term contract under French law: 6 months.
Gross monthly salary: €2,899 to €3,376 depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract.
Monthly per diem and living expenses: $1,105 net, paid on-site.
Monthly context allowance: €450.
Child allowance: €1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (capped at €6,000/year).
Transportation and accommodation: Travel and shared accommodation provided.
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, and your medical expenses for up to one month after the end of your contract.
Salary maintenance provisions (illness, maternity, paternity).
Leave and R&R: 25 days of paid leave per year. 20 RnRs per year; travel expenses covered up to a certain limit to reach the chosen break zone, and a flat-rate allowance of €215 per RnR.
