Doctors of the World is the German chapter of the international humanitarian organization Médecins du Monde/Doctors of the World. Doctors of the World works to ensure that everyone everywhere can exercise their right to health – through medical assistance and political work.
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our Digital Communications Officer (m/f/d) team, starting as soon as possible. The position will be based in Munich or Berlin. This is a part-time (35 hours) position limited to one year.
YOUR FUTURE WORK AREAS
- You plan, coordinate, produce, test and publish content for Doctors of the World’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube), including video clips, advertisements and fundraising campaigns.
- You support the development of a cross-organizational social media strategy.
- You will engage in direct dialogue with our community and develop measures to increase visibility, engagement, and fundraising across our digital channels.
- You will be responsible for the administrative preparation and follow-up of campaigns, as well as for ongoing quality and success monitoring. You will collect, analyze, and report on social media KPIs and develop ideas for optimizing and improving them.
- You will support us in creating content for our website and donation platforms, as well as in the relaunch of our website.
- You manage external service providers safely and with a focus on quality.
- You will work closely with your colleagues in public relations and fundraising and maintain a lively exchange with colleagues in advocacy, projects, and the international network of Doctors of the World.
YOUR PROFILE
YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
- You have relevant vocational training and initial professional experience in dealing with social media and online campaigns.
- You have initial experience in developing and optimizing social media strategies.
- You are proficient in using social media management and monitoring tools.
- You are experienced in maintaining (editorial) content on CMS-based websites, especially WordPress. You have knowledge of selecting, creating, and editing photo and video material.
- You are fluent in written and spoken German. You also have excellent English skills and, if possible, French skills.

- You know the text and have a very good sense of language.

- You have already worked cooperatively with colleagues, teams and departments as part of a dynamic team, even across locations.
- You follow trends in social media, online marketing, and online fundraising and bring creative ideas to your work.
