Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care.
The fundraising officer is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring fundraising operations with target groups or using the tools under their responsibility within the framework of the annual plan to support the development of MSF resources.
Mission
Within the Fundraising Department, reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, and working with the entire team, your main objective is to increase fundraising for MSF. You will also work in collaboration with other departments within the Fundraising Department, the Communications Department, and the IT Department.
Main responsibilities:
- Developing and managing fundraising campaigns (ad hoc / main focus) : you put your expertise into creating impactful fundraising campaigns from a marketing perspective, you ensure their proper implementation with all relevant stakeholders (internal and external), you follow the campaign from its creation to its evaluation, also managing its distribution on preferred channels (in conjunction with the fundraising manager “distribution expert”).
- Creative strategy: You are passionate about testing and optimizing creative assets across the entire conversion funnel. You monitor results daily and are the expert on creative dos and don’ts for our digital strategies (both overarching and ad hoc), using a data-driven approach.
- Grants Asso: You are responsible for renewing the strategy and developing the Grants Asso account (in conjunction with the specialist agency).
- Active monitoring and benchmarking: You stay abreast of new digital developments and their impact on your direct activity. You maintain regular monitoring and share your opinions, findings, good ideas and best practices with the entire digital marketing team, as well as the digital communication team, and more broadly with the entire Collection Department.
And in tandem (co-responsibility) with another digital data collection officer:
- You work on new projects with digital implications (SEO/GEO, implementation of the overall digital strategy, etc.)
- You have the ability to quickly implement emergency campaigns (asset creation)
- You are working on the customer journey strategy for owned media (asset creation)
- You are developing the off-brand SEA strategy
Desired profile
Experience :
Solid professional experience in digital marketing (preferably digital fundraising), in an agency or in an organization of comparable size to MSF (company or NGO).
SKILLS :
- Digital expertise: skills in web marketing, a sense of innovation, a willingness to explore new digital challenges…
- Understanding of technical issues : basic knowledge, ability to communicate with our partners in charge of the technical aspects: IT department, tracking agency, SEO…
- Performance monitoring and analytical thinking : creation and monitoring of reports, analytical skills, mastery of reporting tools, “data driven” mindset.
- Proficiency in industry-specific tools : agency briefs, A/B testing tools (in-house AB Tasty), Photoshop/Canva, Business Manager for managing social media campaigns on META platforms, email campaign routing tools, and Google Analytics. Knowledge of the Iraiser platform is a plus.
- Excellent writing skills
- Budgetary and administrative management

- Requirement : challenge of the existing system and our partners to optimize as much as possible all the elements at our disposal to develop digital collection.

- Diplomacy and team spirit : teamwork, inter-departmental work – with the Direct Marketing team, inter-departmental work, work with partners – agencies.
Languages : French (C2 level) and English (B2 level)
Employment conditions
Status: Permanent full-time contract. Management position based in Paris with occasional travel required.
Compensation and benefits:
- €47,800 gross annual salary over 13 months
- 22 days of RTT (reduced working time) per year
- Working remotely according to MSF’s rules (2 days/week).

- 50% reimbursement of public transport pass (weekly, monthly or annual) OR bicycle mileage allowance (€0.25 per km, limited to €450 per year)
