Job Purpose
The Entrepreneurship and Capacity Development Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering specialized training programs targeting farmers and agricultural cooperative members. The purpose of these programs is to strengthen participants’ capacities in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, agricultural economics, and leadership, thereby enhancing their ability to manage sustainable agricultural enterprises, improve market access, increase household income, and achieve more resilient and sustainable livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review training materials in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Develop the training agenda and implementation plan in line with project objectives.
- Deliver training programs using effective and participatory training methodologies.
- Assess trainees’ knowledge and performance through pre- and post-training evaluations.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to participants.
- Prepare reports related to training activities and outcomes.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure training activities are implemented according to the approved work plan and timeline.Note:Â The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative only. Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
- Essential:
- A university degree (minimum Bachelor’s degree) in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Sciences, or any other related field.
- A minimum of two years of previous experience in delivering training programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with trainees.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with and commitment to humanitarian principles and standards.

- Demonstrated flexibility, responsibility, and reliability in the workplace.
- Good report writing and reporting skills
