Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association founded in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: primarily in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, or even exclusion from healthcare.
This position is open as a temporary replacement.
Context
OCP’s commitment to environmental transition has grown in recent years. OCP has thus adopted an Environmental Roadmap for 2023, which is integrated into the 2026-2031 strategic orientations.
After two years, most of the key actions of this Roadmap are taking shape, particularly in the areas of logistics (energy efficiency, waste management) and supply (reduction of air freight, sustainable purchasing criteria). But some projects will require further efforts, first and foremost the rationalization of air travel.
Since mid-2024, OCP has formed a multidisciplinary ‘Health and Environment’ working group, whose main objectives are floods, heat waves and toxic pollution.
Mission
Develop the integration of environmental issues within OCP, at all levels: strategic, tactical, operational and cultural.
Main responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Deputy General Manager, you support, encourage and encourage the actions of each Department within the framework of OCP’s environmental transition (“Mitigation”) and contribute to the definition of strategic visions and associated work plans.
As OCP’s ‘Climate and Environment Focal Point’, you will also ensure the relay of information between MSF international platforms and the appropriate OCP contacts on the subject of “Mitigation”, but also on the “Adaptation” of Operations and on Climate “Advocacy”.
Finally, you ensure a certain level of monitoring beyond the MSF perimeter.
