Mission :

Under the supervision of the Country Director, your mission will be to develop and support the implementation of an advocacy strategy for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In this context, your responsibilities will be to:
Develop and support the implementation of a humanitarian advocacy and communication strategy for the DRC
Conduct research activities in the DRC and support global advocacy and communication on hunger and conflict
Act as a political focal point and provide direct support to the national office
Ensure external representation in advocacy coordination forums and working groups to integrate ACF positions
You will manage an Advocacy Manager working 50/50 with the Forum of International Non-Governmental Organizations (FONGI).

Upon taking up your position, your priorities will be to: Conduct the analysis
and write the monitoring report for the Hunger and Conflict project
Organize the dissemination of results and key messages at national, regional and international levels
Prepare an advocacy tour planned for the fall, in coordination with headquarters and the ACF network

Profile :

You hold a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in social sciences, international relations, international humanitarian law, politics, development studies, or a related field.
You have solid and demonstrated expertise (at least 3 years) in humanitarian advocacy and/or aid policy representation, negotiation, and influence.
You have proven experience in conducting research activities and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data sets. You have experience working with MEAL specialists for advocacy purposes, managing complex communication campaigns and teams in diverse cultural contexts.
You have the ability to grasp a wide range of complex issues and synthesize them strategically. You have a good knowledge of international law, humanitarian principles and system, the transformative agenda, and issues impacting humanitarian action.
You are proficient in Excel, data collection, and analysis.
You have excellent writing and oral communication skills in French and English.

Conditions of employment

Vaccination against MPOX is recommended for employees traveling to this country.
Fixed-term contract under French law: 6 months until 12/31/2025
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience, including 13th month
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Increase in basic salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% of the coverage of health contributions and repatriation insurance, your medical expenses until 1 month after the end of your contract
Salary maintenance arrangements (illness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; cover for the ticket with a ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
