Position Description
The field associate is an active member of the project team under the administration of the loan office. The Field Associate (FA) assists in analyzing, preparing and coordinating the requirements for training and capacity building activities, including providing direct support to the beneficiaries through frequent field visits to provide the best means of technical support, coordination of events and training meetings at project centers. The field associate also undertakes the tasks of identifying the beneficiaries and gathering their information to provide the best means of technical support and training for them.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct frequent site visits to monitor and support project implementation activities.
- Assist in planning and implementing project activities, including workshops, training sessions, and community dialogues.
- Monitor project progress, collect relevant data, and contribute to the preparation of reports on activities and outcomes.
- Engage directly with community members including vulnerable and marginalized groups—to promote participation and build trust.
- Collaborate closely with other research sites to ensure efficient and coordinated program operations.
- Support additional projects and carry out other tasks as needed.
- Supervise and implement the project activities on field level.
- Implementing the operational work plans as requested by the supervisor
- Ensure smooth exchange of information between local councils, beneficiaries and his/her supervisor.
- Convert technical support needs to his/her supervisor, with contributing to designing the financial component.
- Contribute to ongoing field assessments and data collection and entry as/when required.
- Ensure that data is accurately collected, entered, and shared with supervisor.
- Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required and requested from supervisor.
- Compile relevant information on available services in assigned location.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate distribution of materials when needed.
- Maintain records, reports problems or concerns to supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
- University degree in Social Sciences or any other relevant degree;
- Minimum of two-year experience in field work, community mobilization, and outreach activities with international NGOs;
- Familiar with report writing;
- Familiar with the cultural, socio-economic and political environment in the relevant districts;
- Knowledge of basic IT tools, in particular MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in using data collection applications such as Kobo, Akvo
