About: Action Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger (ACF) has been present in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since 1997 and currently operates programs in three provinces. In North Kivu, the organization operates from its bases in Mweso and Bambo, covering the territories of Masisi and Rutshuru. With a long-standing presence in these areas, ACF has significant access, including to areas controlled by various armed groups. It is recognized as a major actor there, providing interventions in nutrition and health, mental health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and food security. ACF is committed to humanitarian advocacy to promote principled and needs-based aid, as well as the protection of civilians.
ACF is particularly committed to the DRC, both in emergency response and in building resilience and supporting populations affected by the conflict.
