Job summary
Preparing engineering studies and detailed drawings, following up on the implementation of engineering works in accordance with technical specifications, and reviewing and analyzing engineering bids. The position also involves coordinating with the Project Manager to supervise field operations and ensure the application of quality and safety standards throughout the project.
Qualifications and education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- A Project Management certificate is also preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare preliminary engineering studies and detailed plans necessary for the execution of engineering works
- Preparing preliminary engineering studies and detailed drawings required for the implementation of engineering works.
- Preparing estimated bills of quantities and technical specifications for project activities.
- Reviewing technical aspects of engineering bids submitted for tenders and preparing a detailed analytical assessment of the technical offers submitted by each contractor.
- Under the supervision of the Project Manager, preparing an implementation work plan for the engineering works to be carried out by ATAA, which the contractor will be required to follow.
- Conducting daily and direct field follow-up of engineering works implemented by workers previously recruited in the camps, and monitoring the quality of materials and the proper execution of works.
- Developing any engineering drawings (shop drawings) required for the work as needed.
- Maintaining close coordination with the Project Manager and providing them with all field information and updates on an ongoing basis, as well as actively participating in the preparation of the project’s weekly activity report regarding the engineering component.
- Maintaining a surveying book (paper and digital) to calculate the quantities of completed works.
- Taking responsibility for controlling, organizing, and scheduling handover and acceptance documents and paperwork, and submitting them to the Project Manager.
- Working in cooperation with the Project Manager to apply humanitarian principles and standards, and to implement protection laws for individuals and communities in general.
- Fully comply with Ata’a Association’s safeguarding policies and procedures, including policies on protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (PSEAH), and child safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of beneficiaries—especially children—both psychologically and physically across all projects, offices, and facilities, and fostering a safe and supportive environment through full implementation of these policies and their annexes.
