Job Title: Finance and Administration Officer

Location: Venezuela

Contract type: Fixed term, full-time – local position

BACKGROUND

IsraAID is a non-profit, non-governmental, and apolitical humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world. Founded in 2001, by 2026 the organization had responded to crises in 68 countries and maintains ongoing operations in 10 countries, encompassing a wide range of sectors of expertise in both humanitarian aid and international development.

The Finance and Administration Officer directly oversees all financial, accounting, logistical, and administrative operations for the emergency mission. This position serves as a liaison between Headquarters (HQ) and the mission in the country, as well as with external stakeholders. The incumbent may also represent the mission in various coordination forums.

Finance and Accounting

  • Responsible for forecasting and controlling expenses.
  • Regular and ad hoc financial reports and analyses for the mission in the country, Headquarters and donors.
  • Ensure internal and external compliance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Mission, operations and logistics staff in the financial management of programs.
  • Responsible for accounting, cash management, payroll, payments and bank relations.
  • Responsible for success in internal and external audits.

Administration

  • Manage the administration of the office and be the focal point for all operational needs.
  • Provide guidance to staff on policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily mission operations, including the provisioning of supplies.
  • Lead the logistics related to the team, including but not limited to flight bookings, local transportation, accommodation, communications, and more.
  • Document the procurement process.
  • Act as the IT focal point, ensuring that all technology systems are operational.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Required: Intermediate or higher level of Excel.
  • Preferred: University degree in Financial Management or another related field.
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the non-profit sector.
  • Preferred: Experience working internationally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in multidisciplinary, diverse and dynamic teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High flexibility and self-initiative.
  • Autonomous learner: able to perform multiple tasks at once and with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative to set priorities, propose new efficiencies and guide investment in people and systems.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; other languages ​​are an added bonus.

The Finance & Admin Officer
directly oversees all financial, accounting, logistic and administrative operations in the emergency mission. The position liaisons between Headquarters (HQ) and the country mission, as well as external stakeholders. The incumbent might will also represent the mission in various coordination forums.

Financial and Accounting

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mission, including ordering supplies
  • Leading team related logistics arrangement, including but not limited to flight bookings, local transportation, accommodation, communications and more.
  • Documenting procurement process.
  • Serve as the IT focal point, ensuring that all technology systems are operational
