SCOPE OF WORK
The Finance Officer is responsible for managing daily treasury activities, including cash and bank operations, payment processing, and reconciliation. The role ensures that all financial transactions are properly documented, compliant with organizational procedures, and accurately entered into the financial system. The position supports the finance department in maintaining reliable and up-to-date financial records.

Tasks and activities:
Treasury (Cash & Bank)
- Prepare and process all payments (cash and bank), including suppliers, operational, and salary-related payments, ensuring completeness, accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Verify the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial and expense-related documents—including procurement, HR, operational, cash, and bank transactions—prior to processing.
- Maintain daily treasury records, including updating the cashbook and bank-book and performing daily cash counts.
- Conduct monthly and yearly bank and cash reconciliations, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Enter all approved financial transactions into the financial system with accurate budget coding and correct allocation to cost centers.
- Prepare weekly payment lists and ensure all required supporting documents are properly reviewed and complete.
- Support banking operations, including preparing payment files, initiating transfers, updating bank information, and coordinating with bank representatives as needed.
- Monitor, track, and reconcile all job advances and operational advances, ensuring timely liquidation and proper supporting documentation.
- Maintain an organized document-filing system (hard and soft copies) in accordance with organizational policies and financial procedures.
- Verify that all documentation meets organizational financial policies as well as local legal and regulatory requirements.
General Departmental Support:
- Participate in procurement and tender processes to ensure financial compliance with organizational rules and procedures.
- Assist in audit preparation by providing required documentation and clarifications.
- Support preparation of reconciliation reports with other organizational offices when required.
- Serve as a finance focal point for other departments regarding payments, documentation requirements, and financial procedures.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the line manager.
Required qualifications: Education, Experience and Competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting.
- Fluency in Arabic and good in English.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
