Program Background

PROSIVU is an Australian Government-funded program that focuses on strengthening governance in Timor-Leste. This eight-year program (2022 – 2030) works in partnership with the Government of Timor-Leste to help Timor-Leste achieve its goal of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030. It is Australia’s primary program supporting Timor-Leste’s central government agencies and economic line-ministries in improving governance, economic policy and public sector reform. DT Global supports the implementation of PROSIVU on behalf of the Australian Government.

The Role
The Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Public Administration Consultant will contribute to the development of a national Civil Service GEDSI Strategy for the Government of Timor-Leste. \

About You

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • A university degree in gender and development, social science, economics or related field.
  • At least 5 years (Master) or 10 years (Bachelor) of progressively experience in the field of gender, disability and social inclusion, with a substantial portion focused on empowerment of women and people with disabilities in public service workforce.

Desirable

  • Master’s degree qualifications in gender and development, social science, economics or related field.
  • Previous experience in working on development of GEDSI related strategies, research and analysis on the implementation of the gender policies, preferably in the field of empowerment of women and people with disabilities in public service and employment in Timor-Leste.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken Tetum skills.
