Assignment :

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director – Programs, your mission will be to define strategies and coordinate Action Against Hunger’s interventions in the Central African Republic in the areas of health and nutrition:
Design, document, and evaluate nutritional and health interventions as well as advocacy actions in your sector;
Monitor and coordinate programs in the areas of nutrition and health;
Manage the Nutrition and Health team in the capital and provide functional management to the Nutrition and Health Program Managers at the field level: Direct management of 1 Pharmacist and functional management of 2 Nutrition and Health Program Managers;
Develop and lead programs and advocacy efforts in partnership with national and local stakeholders;
Represent Action Against Hunger and advocate for its positions in the field of health and nutrition

Profile:

You hold a postgraduate degree in health or nutrition, have initial training as a doctor/nurse, and have at least 3 years of experience in the humanitarian NGO sector, including managing humanitarian and development programs in high-pressure environments.
You possess strong management, coaching, and training skills, as well as excellent coordination and planning abilities for national programs, external representation, and the capacity to position Action Against Hunger’s operations in relation to identified nutrition and health challenges.
Rigorous, punctual, concise, and precise, you have strong organizational and planning skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to take initiative.

You are proficient in the project lifecycle and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with excellent reporting skills.
You communicate effectively in French (both spoken and written). Proficiency in English is an asset.

Employment conditions

Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees travelling to this country.
Fixed-term contract under French law: 6 months until 15/11/2026.
Gross monthly salary: from €2,597 to €2,968 depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract.
Monthly per diem and living expenses: €746 net, paid on-site.
Monthly context allowance: €150.
Child allowance: €1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (capped at €6,000/year).
Transportation and accommodation: Travel and shared accommodation provided.
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health insurance contributions and repatriation insurance, and your medical expenses for up to 1 month after the end of your contract.
Salary maintenance schemes (illness, maternity, paternity).
Leave and RnR: 25 days of paid leave per year and 20 RnR days per year; travel expenses covered up to a certain limit to reach the chosen break zone, and a flat-rate allowance of €215 per RnR.
